Japan and the Philippines launch military intel pact talks in Tokyo

The Philippines and Japan agreed to negotiate an intelligence sharing agreement during the talks in Tokyo. Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said, they reached an agreement to commence official negotiations on a General Security of Military Information Agreement.

  Moreover, the talks emphasized on further deepen economic cooperation between Japan and the Philippines, as well as between Japan and ASEAN, including the strengthening of economic supply chain resilience across the entire Asian region.
