Italy restarts COVID-19 vaccinations with 4th dose

Doctors in Italy say demand for a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has increased since it began being offered to the over 60s and those with compromised immune systems.Italy restarted its vaccination campaign in mid-July.

The goal of the campaign is to protect vulnerable people and reduce hospitalizations. As of July 15th, Italy counted 97,936 new coronavirus cases.The country has a high percentage of vaccinated people, with 91.52% of over 12 year-olds with at least one dose.
