Italian Prime Minister Meloni meets Austrian Chancellor in Rome

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni welcomed Austrian Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg in Rome on Monday, where the two have met to discuss cooperation in the energy and defense sectors.

During their talks, the two leaders spoke about the main topics on the international and EU agenda, with particular reference to migration issues and security. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the possibilities to further strengthen the already excellent bilateral relations, above all in the energy sector and defense industry.
