Israeli and South Sudanese foreign ministers meet in Jerusalem

On Sunday, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar met with his South Sudanese counterpart, James Pitia Morgan, in Jerusalem.  Foreign Minister Sa'ar emphasized Israel's ongoing support for South Sudan via Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation. Israel has been actively providing humanitarian assistance to help South Sudan cope with the severe refugee crisis driven by the neighboring civil war in Sudan. 

The high-level diplomatic meeting highlighted expanding bilateral relations, ongoing humanitarian assistance, and shared historical ties, while also occurring against the backdrop of significant regional security updates.
