Iraqi FM meets Algerian counterpart in Baghdad

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra in Baghdad. In a joint briefing later, Hussein said that the two sides discussed the agenda of the upcoming Arab summit meeting, as well as the artillery strike on Wednesday on the district of Zakho in Iraq's semi-autonomous northern Kurdish region.

At least nine Iraqis were killed there, including a child, and 20 were wounded. Discussions also touched on the Ukrainian crisis and its impact on global food security. The Algerian minister added that the Arab summit will be held on the 1st and 2nd November.
