Investment Affairs: Union Minister visits Thilawa Special Economic Zone

Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo visited the Thilawa Special Economic Zone on Saturday in Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region. During the visit, the Union Minister met with the members of the Thilawa Special Economic Zone Committee and investors.

This meeting focused on the plans that the state government will continue to facilitate investments and the necessary plans for the continued participation of the Thilawa Special Economic Zone Management Committee, Special Economic Zones Central Working Group and investors.

After the meeting, the Union Minister toured the Thilawa Special Economic Zone. During the tour, the Union Minister visited the Wilmar Myanmar Limited and viewed milling process to export high-quality rice to foreign countries, high-quality edible oil production and distribution and construction of a rice bran oil mill, and gave necessary instructions.
