International Security: C-in-C Attends 9th Moscow Conference

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening of the 9th Moscow Conference on International Security-2021(MCIS-2021) on Wednesday.

The Ceremony at RADISSON Hotel in Moscow was also attended by Russian Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoigu and other high-ranking military and civilian officials as well as high-ranking officials from 67 nations, ministers and deputy ministers for defence and many other concerned officials.

Firstly, the Senior General and attendees viewed the defence products displayed by Rosoboronexport Company and many other companies.

This 9th Moscow Conference on International Security-2021(MCIS-2021) began with a video clip displaying a speech of Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation.

Also, Russian Army General Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoigu gave opening remarks.

The Conference continued with discussions by the Russian Deputy Minister of Defence Colonel General Alexander V. Fomin, the chief of Russia's General Staff Army General Valery GERASIMOV, Colonel General WEI FENGHE from China, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Qatar, Defence Minister of Belarus, President of the international Committee of the Red Cross and the former president of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai.

 In the 2nd session of the Conference, the Senior General made a discussion with the topic ‘The Asia-Pacific Region in the Context of Global Politics’. Also, Deputy Defence Minister of Maldives, Minister of National Defence of Vietnam, Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Defence Minister of Brunei made discussions.
