International Cooperation: Meeting with MISIS Advisory Board and Executive Board

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin and Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing delivered the speeches at the Meeting with the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS), which was held in Yangon on 23 December.

In their remarks, the Union Ministers briefed on the implementations of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and Ministry of International Cooperation on the political objectives and the Road Map defined by the State Administrative Council, responses to the organizations that interfere in the internal affairs of a Sovereign State for the political purpose, Myanmar's implementations on ASEAN five-point consensus, cooperation in the regional and international partners and challenges.

Furthermore, they urged MISIS to contribute the state through effective use of the track 1.5 Diplomacy and track II Diplomacy in view of assisting the position, policy and endeavors of the Government not only in the domestic but also in the regional and international arenas, to submit regularly the recommendations, reviews and advises, and to do qualitative research papers to be internationally standardized ones.

Then, the participants reported on undertaking activities of the Institute and exchanged views from the scholar's perspectives.
