International Cooperation: Dy Minister meets Special Envoy of ASEAN Chair

Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Myo Htut received Secretary of State for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and Head of the Office of the Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair Dr. KUNG Phoak and delegates at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw on 9th June.

During the call, the Deputy Minister acknowledged Cambodia’s effort as the Chair of ASEAN providing support for Myanmar with regard to the implementation of the Five-Point Consensus of the ASEAN.

He also reiterated that the implementation process of the Five-Point Consensus needs enough time since there are unforeseen difficulties on the ground and measures must be practical to have substantive progress. Dr. Kung Phoak expressed Cambodia’s continued support to facilitate the implementation of Five-Point Consensus in cooperation with the Government of Myanmar.
