International Conference on food security and climate change

An international conference on fostering cooperation to ensure food security in the face of climate change took place in Ashgabat on November 28.The event was organized by the Ministries of Environment and Agriculture of Turkmenistan in partnership with the UN and its Food and Agriculture Programme (FAO).

The conference focused on the need to find ways to introduce low-carbon energy systems and industrial processes, as well as the importance of adaptation to climate change as a key condition for the sustainable economic development of Central Asian countries.
