Inspections In Shan State: Union Minister For Construction Holds Meeting, Makes Inspections

Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay made inspections in Shan State. First, at the office of the Department of  Road in Taunggyi, the Union Minister met with officers and staff from the state/district/township building, road and bridge task forces of southern Shan State. In the meeting, the Union Minister stressed that the role of civil servants is very important for the development of the country.

It is necessary to work for the development of bridges, roads and urban housing. To increase staff capacity, seminars, workshops and training are needed. The meeting continued with explaining the work and staff processes and the Union Minister coordinated the processes.

After the meeting, the Union Minister inspected completion of the construction of 2 4-storye staff housings in the compound of Sao San Htun Hospital and gave necessary instructions. The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to a retaining wall construction site on the Meikhtila-Taunggyi-Kengtung-Tachileik Road.

Also, on the Road, he inspected construction of the new 2-lane Pyi Nyaung Bridge between the Mile Post No. 43/7 and No. 44 and gave necessary instructions. The Union Minisiter also inspected the BaYaNgaSu Road section maintenance, the Yangon-Bago-Taunggoo-Mandalay Union Highway upgrade and maintenance.
