Inspections Of Roads & Bridge: Deputy Minister Inspects Construction Projects

Deputy Minister for Construction U Win Pe made inspections in Shan and Kayin states.

First, in Shan State, the Deputy Minister heard report on construction of the tar and concrete road between the Mile Post No. 0 to No. 3/1.5 on the airport ring road in Mongsat Township. He called on the concerned officials to extend the current 5,000 feet road to 6,000 feet road after paying compensation for the lands to be used in the road extension process.

Also, at the LwalSamSone Road briefing hall, after hearing report on road and bridge projects to be carried out in the fiscal year of 2022-2023, the Deputy Minister stressed importance of maintenance after completing the projects including concrete road construction, widening of the blind spots, repairing the hard road with rock clay, construction of canal, repairing road shoulders with concrete, construction of box culverts and erection of guard post and direction signs.

In Tachileik Township, the Deputy Minister inspected the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge No. 1 and also the Meikhtila-Taunggyi-Kengtung-Tachileik Road before giving necessary instructions.
