Inspection of Youth Training School: MoSWRR UM inspected youth training school

On December 9, 2025, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win, accompanied by officials, visited the Kyaik Waing Youth Training School in Mayangon Township, Yangon Region.

The principal of the youth training school explained the ongoing provision of formal education for children and the school's operational activities. Following that, the Union Minister and officials observed and encouraged the primary education being provided to the children at the youth training school.

They then toured and inspected the school library and student dormitories. They met warmly with the students, offered words of encouragement, and facilitated necessary support. Afterwards, they inspected the condition of the small scale kitchen gardens cultivated within the youth training school compound for the students.

The Union Minister instructed the school to continue cultivating vegetables seasonally so that the students can have vegetables to consume. Next, the Union Minister and officials visited the Disabled and Elderly Training School. They observed the trainees attending the Electronics course, which is running from May 8, 2025, to March 26, 2026, and offered them words of encouragement.

Continuing, the Union Minister and officials visited the screen-printing training room, sewing machine training room, computer room, and hairdressing training rooms. Subsequently, the principal explained the situation regarding the provision of vocational training courses for persons with disabilities at the training school.

The Union Minister provided necessary guidance and instructions. It is reported that he further instructed the school to submit requests for necessary items, including training aids, and to maintain cleanliness and tidiness in and around the training school.
