Inspection Trip: Union Minister makes inspections in Bago Region

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi made inspections in Bago Region. First, in Bago Township, the Union Minister inspected the Environmental Conservation Department and the Myanma Timber Enterprise office, held talks with officials and staff and fulfilled the requirements.

In the meeting with pulp and paper, bamboo and rattan and furniture entrepreneurs, the Union Minister pledged to provide assistance for development and to make arrangement to expand plantations of bamboo. Governmental departments and entrepreneurs need to coordinate and work together for development, the Union Minister added.

And, the Union Minister coordinated the matters presented by entrepreneurs including availability of raw materials and production of finished goods and domestic and foreign demand and market conditions. The Union Minister also inspected sculpture workshop, craft workshop and furniture factory in Bago Township as well as tissue factory and paper factory in the Aye Thu Kha Industrial Zone in Daik-U Township and fulfilled the requirements.
