Inspection Trip: Union Minister for Construction makes inspections

Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay inspected building, road and bridge construction and maintenance works in Yangon Region.

During his inspection tour, the Union Minister viewed round the entrance to Nyaunghnapin connecting with Yangon-Bago 6-lane Road in Yangon Region, which is being implemented by the Road Special Task Force (14) of the Highways Department.

He also examined the maintenance works at the historic building near Nyaunghnapin Village, Pyidaungsu Hall of Nyaunghnapin National Convention and instructed officials to keep the original work intact to inspect the foundation of the current building by Quality Control Team and to make the entrance/exit roads orderly.

The Union Minister also met with the Managing Director of the KMIC Development Co., Ltd of Korea in Nyaunghnapin KMIC Industrial Zone and discussed acceleration of KMIC project implementation between South Korea and Myanmar, foreign investment and creation of job opportunities.

Also, the Union Minister inspected the construction works of the Thanlyin Bridge (3) which is easily linked to Yangon-Thanlyin-Thilawa Special Economic Zone and is important for the smooth flow of goods, and instructed officials to pay attention to safety in carrying out construction activities.

The Thanlyin Bridge No. 3 under construction on the Bago River is located near the Yangon-Thanlyin Bridge No 1. The bridge will be 1,928 meters long and the 24 meters wide motor road.
