Inspection Tour: Senior General Makes Inspections in Mandalay

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspected the Practising Middle School, Stadiums, and Mandalay University in Chanayethazan Township of Mandalay Region on Wednesday.

At the Practising Middle School, the Senior General held talks with students and the school headmistress, and provided school funds, COVID-19 immunization materials, and coordinated for the school’s renovations.

He also met with schoolmasters of the primary, middle, and high schools and stressed that basic education is important and importance of adherence to COVID-19 prevention guidelines.

During his visit to the Aungmye Mandalar Stadium and the Bahtoo Stadium which are now under renovation, the Senior General said that stadiums must be good to upgrade the sports sector. On the same day, the Senior General visited and observed the Main Library of Mandalay University, International Human Rights Resource Centre and establishment of the E-library.

There, the Senior General stressed that it is important to have good literature at the library as it can provide historical and cultural and community knowledge. He added the need to preserve ancient inscriptions and precious books in the library with technical assistance to make them long-lasting and easy to read and study. He also inspected the university campus and coordinated the requirements presented by officials.
