Inspection Tour : Relocation of power lines and visiting the substation

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun accompanied by Chairman of Yangon Electricity Distribution Coporation and departmental officials on Thursday inspected the relocation processes of  overlapping  electric grids and fiber cable lines in Yangon.

In Shwe Pyi Tha Township, the Union Minister and party inspected completed relocation works of 33 KV, 11KV and 400 Volt electric grids to upgrade No. 4 Road to 8-lane road, relocation of 66 KV HlawKar-Ywar Ma  electricity distribution poles near DaNyinKone  Junction, relocation of fiber cable lines along Ayeyawady Road and relocation of overlapping electric lines at Anawrahta Industrial Zone.

During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed for timely completion on relocating remaining electric grids, ensuring workplace safety for the staff and using quality products.

At the 230 KV Hlaingthaya Main Substation, operating under the Department of Electric Power Transmission and System Control in Hlaingthaya Township, the Union Minister and party inspected the station operation processes.

The Union Minister and party heard reports by the officials and instructed for systematic maintenance of electronic equipment, transformers and power grids for long term durability, cleaning and greening of the station’s compound and surrounding area.

The Union Minister further instructed on systematic restoration and renovation of staff housings while saving electricity  and water consuming and cast their votes in upcoming multi-party general election.
