






Shan State Chief Minister, accompanied by concerned officials, inspected provision of MEVMs to wards and villages for upcoming election in Taunggyi Township on Friday. The Chief Minister also toured around the State Hluttaw Building and gave necessary instructions.
They later proceeded to the polling stations opened at No.2 and No.8 Basic Education High School in Taunggyi and inspected the preparation measures. During his visit to Ayethaya Industrial Zone, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the electricity distribution, using solar powered-energy by Uni Energy Co., Ltd's 10 Megawatt project, heard the reports by the officials and inspected the factory’s operation.
The Chief MInister and party also inspected the preparation to open polling stations at Ayethaya Government Technical High School, No.1 Basic Education High School (Taunggyi), No.3 Basic Education High School (Shwe Nyaung), Yadana Ward, Shwe Nyi Lar Hall, Hlaing Bone Thar ward and Aung Tha Pyay Ward.
On December 28th, polling stations in 12 township in Shan State will be opened and preparations are currently underway for the citizen to cast their votes in upcoming election.
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and party attended a work coordination meeting on successful holding of multi-party democracy general election at the Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi and discussed matters on security and convenient arrangements during election period.
The Chief Minister and party later proceeded to No.2 Basic Education Post-Primary School in Nyaung Phyu Station Ward in Taunggyi where he inspected preparation to open polling station.
