Inspection Tour: Power facilities and post-earthquake housing in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Electricity U Nyan Tun, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Aye Kyaw and departmental officials, inspected 33 kV power substations and distribution lines in the Nay Pyi Taw Council area on Sunday.

The Union Minister also reviewed the restoration work on staff housing damaged by the Mandalay earthquake, ensuring repairs meet quality standards and that staff can live safely and comfortably. He instructed to continue maintenance, clear vegetation along power lines, and take precautions against fire hazards.

They also visited ten two-story modular houses at the central training school in Ottarathiri Township, assessing housing for earthquake-affected staff and families, as well as ongoing work to convert earthen roads into concrete for year-round accessibility.
