






Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo met with farmers and attended the ceremony of providing sunflower and sunn-hemp seeds at the administrator’s office of MinKone Village-tract on December 10th.
During the ceremony, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials provided Sinn Nay Kyar (2) variety sunflower seeds and drum seeders to the farmers. Next, he inspected the knowledge sharing session and demonstration of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) in Maung Yan Village of Ottarathiri Township.
Then, the Council Chairman visited the farms of Edible-nest Swiftlet where approximately 1,300 swiftlets are being bred and looked into the production of bird nest at Ma-U Lay Pin Village of Min Kone Village-tract. The birdnest are medicinal products which are not only distributed locally but also exported to the international market and by combining the use of technology and the arrival of migratory birds, valuable bird nests are obtained, also providing a family income.
On December 11th, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman met with farmers and attended the ceremony of providing sunflower and sunn-hemp seeds at Pa Ywat Sate Kone Village in Pyinmana Township. On the occassion, the Coucil Chairman delivered a speech and then provided Sinn Nay Kyar (2), Sunn-hemp, Trichoderma fungi and fertlizers to the farmers.
Next, he inspected the knowledge sharing session and demonstration of MEVM at Thit LayLone Village in Pyinmana Township. After that, he inspected the seeding process of winter sunflower within 5 acres of farmland in the village. The Council Chairman also looked into the renovation of Nay Pyi Taw Myoma Market which were affected by Mandalay earthquake and opening of shops as well as construction of 600 sq-ft 4-room staff housings in Thuka Theikkdi Ward of Zabuthiri Township.
