Inspection tour: MoSYA and MoHT UM made inspection tour

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung who also serves as a Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee made an inspection tour in Pyi Oo Lwin District of Mandalay Region on 12th October.

At Pyin Oo Lwin District Sports Ground, the Union Minister instructed on the emergence of new generation athletes and development of region’s sports sector. Elaborating on long-term resilience and facelifting of the sports ground, the Union Minister instructed the responsible officials on continuous organizing of region/district/township basic education school sports competitions.

Then, the Union Minister met with the displaced persons and provided necessities. On the same day, the Union Minister met with the officials from Myanmar Hotelier Association (Pyin Oo Lwin Zone) and hoteliers at Shwe Nan Htike Hotel.

During the meeting, the Union Minister underscored the influence of tourism industry in a nation’s ecnomic advancement. Highlighting the significant attributes of Pyin Oo Lwin region and its tourism benefits, the Union Minister urged on region’s toursim sector development, preserving the natural sceneries and heritage of the region.

The meeting also focused on capacity enhancement of the hotel staff, facelifting and cleanliness of the hotels, innovative visitor attractions at hotels as well as safety measures. Then, the Union Minister inspected the operation of Hotel Akimomi and Shwe Nan Htike Hotel and coordinated requirements.
