Inspection tour: MoEP Union Minister inspected viable places for power plants

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han together with Deputy Minister and departmental officials inspected the sites to establish small scale hydro-power electricity and other electric power plants in Pyinmana Township and Lewe Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area in the morning on December 3rd.

First, the union minister and party inspected the feasibility of small scale hydro-electric power generation at two places downstream of Paung Laung Spillway and the suitable places to establish Solar power and other electric power plants at the east of PaungLaung Creek and the responsible officials clarified the land area, viability and the social and environmental assessment.

Next, they went to ThePhyu Dam and ChaungMaNge Dam and inspected the feasibility of floating Solar power system and the suitable places to set up the other electric power plants. At the inspection tour, the union minister gave necessary guidance and instructions, it’s learnt.
