Inspection tour: Education Minister inspected Yangon University

The Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe accompanied by the deputy ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and U Zaw Win and director-generals met with the rector, pro-rector, heads of department professors and teachers at Yangon University Convocation Hall in the morning on March 11.

At the meeting, the union minister said to provide teaching materials and teaching aids to the university, fulfill the requirements for the achievement of university’s research works and other assistances such as books and documents, internet WiFi connection and to provide research fund and travel allowance etc.

Next, the director-general of the department of higher education Dr Win Tun clarified for the good look of the Yangon University, refreshing courses to be given for the capacity enhancement of the teachers, staff increment issues and the rules to be complied by those who are under relevant scholarship program.

Similarly, the union minister and party visited the Sub Basic Education High School (Kyaik-Kha-Nar), Htantabin Township, Yangon Regin and coordinated to the renovations of school corridors, maintenance for the good look of the school and to provide water purifier machines and water closets.

Afterward, the union minister and officials concerned also inspected Yangon Institute of Education and the teachers’ training high school and coordinated the construction of school buildings and stadium, renovation of teaching facilities and restoration of paint and reparing fence and painting etc.
