Inspection Tour: Development works in Shan State inspected

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win visited Kalaw on Wednesday to inspect the flood prevention measures.

The Union Minister inspected the construction of retaining wall along Kalaw Creek, chosen site for building a suspension bridge and renovation of Kalaw Station as well as the dredging works along Kalaw Creek. During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed for cleanliness and beautifying of Kalaw along with the implementation of proper drainage system.

They then visited No.8 Basic Education Primary School in Aung Pan and viewed the construction progress of school building, funded by the ASEAN, through coordination with AHA Center.

They also inspected the progress of constructing temporary school building at Basic Education Branch High School (Kaylar) in Nyaung Shwe Township. The Union Minister then visited the Inle Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and viewed the progress of renovation works being carried out by the provision of National Disaster Management Committee.
