






The opening ceremony of the Pencak Silat coach training course, jointly organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the Department of Sports and Physical Education, and the Myanmar Pencak Silat Federation, was held on April 28 at the Union Hall of the Sports and Physical Education Institute (Yangon), located at Kyaik Ka San Sports Ground in Tamwe Township, Yangon Region.
The Union Minister for Sports, U Ye Myint Tun, attended and delivered the opening speech. First, the attending trainees individually paid respect with introductions. Then, the Union Minister encouraged them to strive to make this course a beneficial and valuable one for coaches.
After a group photo was taken, the ceremony was concluded. Subsequently, the Union Minister and his team inspected the Padumma Sports Ground in Sanchaung Township, the football field, grandstand, water storage tank, swimming pool, competition hall (A) of the Thihadipa Sports Hall and Futsal Sports Ground at Thihadipa Sports Ground in Thanlyin District, as well as the Padetha Sports Hall and football field at Padetha Sports Ground in South Okkalapa Township.
The Union Minister provided necessary guidance and directives. Afterwards, the Union Minister and officials met with officers and staff at the meeting hall of the Yangon Region Department of Sports and Physical Education office. The Union Minister delivered a speech.
The Director of the Yangon Region Department of Sports and Physical Education then explained the region's operational activities via a PowerPoint presentation. The Director-General and Deputy Director-General supplemented with necessary discussions and presentations. The Union Minister delivered the closing remarks and provided support to address the staff's presentations and difficulties, it’s reported.
