Inspection of Ships: MoIP Union Minister inspected immigration ships

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing inspected three ships with the name of Zin Yaw (1), (2) and (3) which are used for immigration processes at the place where the ocean liners anchored at Bo Ta Htaung Jetty in the morning on 25th December and the responsible officials clarified the history of the ships, staff force on each ship and the yearly maintenance of the watercrafts and requirements to be fulfilled.

Next, the union minister instructed safety and security of the ship crew, fitness and readiness of the ships and the security measures for the ships, inspected the status of engine room and steering gear room, cordially greeted the ship crew members, gave necessary instruction to the official concerned and fulfilled requirements.

Next, the Union Minister was clarified by the Yangon International terminal in-charge assistant director U Hla Phone regarding the status of workforce at ports supervisory division, the conditions of accessing by the international vessels to Thilawa, Yangon and Thanlyin ports, the carrying out the duties of immigration processes at those vessels, immigration inspection works on the vessels accessed to the offshore oil rigs and the maintenance works for the Zin Yaw ships and the director general U Ye Tun Oo supplemented requirements for the works.

Then, the union minister gave necessary instructions in detail and fulfilled requirements reported by the responsible officials, it’s learnt.
