






Union Minister for Sports U Ye Myint Tun, accompanied by relevant officials, conducted a field inspection on Tuesday morning to oversee the completion of renovation works at Wunna Theikdi Stadium and its associated training halls in Nay Pyi Taw, which were previously damaged by the Mandalay earthquake.
First, the Union Minister and party arrived at Wunna Theikdi Stadium. At the guest hall, officials from Max Myanmar Co., Ltd. and Thanlyin Ayeya Co., Ltd. Which are the firms responsible for the restoration, along with Director of the Stadiums and Training Halls Division, U Min Min Tun, clarified with a PowerPoint presentation detailing the progress and completion of the repair works.
Following the briefing, the Union Minister and officials inspected the installation of ceilings and perimeter glass facades in the VIP Lounge, the completion of the synthetic running track, and the maintenance of the football pitch, including its automated irrigation system.
The Union Minister provided necessary instructions to the officials in charge during the tour. After concluding the inspection of the various facilities damaged by the earthquake, the Union Minister gave further guidance to ensure the long-term durability and readiness of the sports complex.
