






Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo conducted inspections along the Nay Pyi Taw–Eala railway section. The Union Minister and officials visited locations where heavy machinery is being used to reinforce the rail tracks, the Pyinmana Station, which was damaged by the earthquake, and temporary camps where ministry staff are currently residing.
First, the Union Minister and officials visited a worksite along the Nay Pyi Taw–Eala railway line, specifically at the Pyi-Win station yard and high-speed track section, where they inspected the use of the Automatic Lining, Leveling, and Tamping Machine (ALLTM) for track reinforcement. He gave instructions regarding the needs and improvements to be made.
Next, they proceeded to Pyinmana Railway Station to inspect the reconstruction work being carried out on buildings damaged by the earthquake. The Union Minister also instructed that the railway control systems within the station area, which were disrupted or damaged, be repaired and restored to operational condition as quickly as possible.
Following that, they visited temporary housing camps accommodating staff and their families from the Ministry of Transport and Communication (Transport Office) and checked the planned site in Dekkhinathiri Township on a plot owned by Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) where Basha buildings are to be constructed for staff housing.
The Union Minister instructed that construction should begin as soon as possible and that water and electricity access be ensured. After that, the Union Minister and party visited the MPT Dekkhinathiri Communications Station Office, where they inspected arrangements for temporary shelter and meal provisions for staff and their families. He also ensured that health, living, and food supply needs of the affected families were addressed.
