Inspection in Rakhine State: Security measures in Maungdaw inspected

Member of the State Administration Council Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut inspected the security measures, welfare services for the members of security forces, implementation of agriculture and livestock breeding tasks at KyeeKanPyin, ZinPaingNyar, MyinLutt, InnDin, and KyeinChaung areas of Maungdaw District in Rakhine State during the second week of January.

The Union Minister also met with the family members and fulfilled the needs. During the inspection, the officials reported on the border security measures and stability of the region. The Union Minister gave speeches to each unit of security forces and provided cash assistance.

The Union Minister also inspected the families housings, and provided cash assistance. The Union Minister also met with the Ward and Village Administrators, district level departmental personnel and townselders and coordinated the requirements.

The Union Minister also made inspection at KaNyinChaung Economic Zone and fencing works along Myanmar-Bangladesh border as well as the current condition of border fences, damages, the needs to be repaired and patrolling along the fence by the security forces.

In Sittwe, the Union Minister met with the officials from Rakhine State Government and gave instructions on the implementation of the works.
