








On 26th July, Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun accompanied by concerned officials inspected Solar+Gas Engine Hybrid Power Plant Project Site near Magway Township and Power distribution system at Magway Main Sub-Station.
At Solar+Gas Engine Hybrid Power Plant Project Site near Thapyay San Village, the Union Minister heard reports on current work implementations and completion, arrangements to install 132 KV National Grid and completion of natural gas pipeline installation. Upon reports, the Union minister urged to accelerate the work implementation to be able to generate 80 Magawatt power from 9 power generators for summer, solar power generation, systematic maintenance and monitoring of the machines and equipment as well as completion of the project in timely manner.
Next, the Union Minister inspected Gas Engines, Exhaust Dust System installation and Fire Protection Wall construction and gave necessary instruction. At present, 90% of the project is completed and the power generated from the plant will be transmitted through 132 KV Magway Main Sub-Station.
Then, the Union Minister proceeded to Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise Natural Gas Control and Distribution Camp and inspected the condition of natural pipe lines and distribution condition. At Department of Power Transmission and System Control of Magway Main Sub Station, the Union Minister stressed on full capacity power generation, power outage reduction, resilience of transformers and power lines as well as systematic power distribution system. In the afternoon at No. 4 Construction office in Magway Township, the Union Minister met with the displaced staff from Rakhine State, who are temporarily accommodating at staff housings, gave instructions on unity and systematic accommodation, power and water usage.
The Union Minister also provided cash assistance and necessary supplies for the staff and inspected the staff housings.
