Inspection of political party: UEC inspects SNLD party under UEC Law

The Union Election Commission looked into the political parties whether they conducted systematically for the membership of the parties, party funds and property, savings, maintenance, usage, audition and liquidation and parties’ procedures under the UEC Law Section 10 (L) “supervising, causing to supervise and guiding the political parties to carry out under the law”.

The inspection team consisted of the officials of the Shan State Auditor-General Office, the Internal Revenue Department and the Bureau of Special Investigation led by UEC members U Than Soe and U Min Min Oo conducted inspections on Shan Nationalities League for Democracy between 30th June and 3rd July. The UEC has inspected 85 political parties from August 2021 to date, taking measures to examine the seven remaining political parties.
