Inspection of newly arrived EVs: 25 EVs arrived in Myanmar for the first time

Leading by  the vice chairman 1 of the National-level Leading Committee on Development of Electric Vehicles and Related Business, chairmen of working committees and officials coordinated on the imported electric vehicles and inspected the customs operation and check out status of  25 vehicles imported by Essential motors Co., Ltd at Asia World port terminal on 18th February.

Director, Directorate of Industrial Collaboration, Khin Maung Chit said "We analyze the Imported EVs data submitted by the company in accord with the instructions.Today we inspect newly arrived 25 EVs. EVs are zero-emission vehicles so we can protect from the environmental pollution by using EVs."

With the permission of the National-level Leading Committee on Development of Electric Vehicles and Related Business, 25 newly EVs arrived in Myanmar for the first time.

Staff officer, Export/import Control Division, Kyaw Mya Thein said "We have five working groups constituted by the National-level Leading Committee on Development of Electric Vehicles and Related Business. We play the coordination role of tax relief. We inspect the imported EVs whether those meet specifications and standards or not. "

Chief Executive Officer, Essential motors Co., Ltd, Wai Yan Min Naing said "As for our company, 25 passenger cars were imported and we will continue importing taxis. We have been installing the Charging stations at Yangon Central Railway Station. We have arranged for the buyers to use charging easily and safely at home. 7 kW or 2.5 kW chargers depend on home will be installed at home with the competent engineers. By using EVs, we can reduce obviously regular maintenance such as- exchanging engine oil, fuel cost and maintenance costs."

Essential motors Co., Ltd also has been conducting to install the charging stations.
