Inspection in Myitkyina: Chief Minister inspects construction of retaining walls

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan inspected construction of retaining walls along the Ayeyawaddy River near Myitkyina.

Construction of these retaining walls near low lying areas of Myitkyina are being constructed with the Kachin State Government fund.

During the inspection, he also heard report on the construction process and called for quality construction and timely construction. The Chief Minister also stressed that it is a project to protect the people from floods as in the low-lying areas of Myitkyina, floods often occur when the water level of the Ayeyawaddy River rises during the rainy season.
