Inspection of Land Use Changes: MONREC UM inspected land use changes in POL

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, accompanied by Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung and concerned officials, conducted an aerial inspection of land use changes in Pyin Oo Lwin Township on Sunday morning.

During the inspection, they observed illegal encroachment into forest lands, unauthorized conversion of vacant and farmland to other uses, and unapproved land use on government-managed lands. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation is committed to maintaining and systematically managing forest lands. The ministry is also carrying out aerial inspections to strengthen supervision of forest conservation, as well as forest fire and haze prevention and control activities.
