






Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory, Pyinmana Township Office of the Ministry of Immigration and Population on May 4th.
During the visit, the Union Minister observed and encouraged the ongoing process of issuing Citizenship Scrutiny Cards and UIDs as part of the government's immediate response to address public needs within the first 100-day period.
First, the Union Minister and party inspected the reception arrangements at the inquiry section of the Pyinmana Township Office. He cordially greeted and discussed with local residents who had come to the office for various citizenship-related matters at the waiting lounge within the compound. He inquired about operational difficulties and coordinated with responsible officials to address necessary issues.
Afterwards, the Union Minister and party toured the various stages of the verification process carried out by staff according to procedures. They also observed the collection of biographic and biometric data under the e-ID system for those who already possess Citizenship Scrutiny Cards, in order to issue a single Unique ID. He warmly greeted and encouraged the public who had come to avail themselves of these services.
Subsequently, the Union Minister inspected the systematic preservation of documents and office supplies within the township office, as well as the orderly maintenance of personal records in the township record room. He instructed responsible officials to pay attention to document security and fire prevention measures.
After that, the Union Minister and officials presented individual Citizenship Scrutiny Cards and UIDs completed on the same day under the "La Min" project within the government's 100-day period to the respective recipients. They also provided refreshments to the township office staff.
Following this, the Union Minister and party proceeded to the Pobbathiri Township Office, where they observed and encouraged the ongoing processes for issuing Citizenship Scrutiny Cards and UIDs. They coordinated and addressed necessary matters based on the explanations and presentations made by responsible officials, it’s learnt.
