Inspection of Development Works: MCRD UM inspected development works in Nay Pyi Taw

The Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development, U Hla Moe, accompanied by responsible officials, visited Kyauk Khe Inn Village in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, on Tuesday.

During the visit, the Union Minister inspected the repair works being carried out on No. (2) Production Road, measuring 4,600 feet in length, which had been damaged by an earthquake, and instructed that the works be expedited to ensure completion within the current fiscal year.

The Union Minister then met with local residents, during which he explained matters related to the formation and operation of cooperative agricultural associations, the provision of high-yield seeds and agricultural inputs through the Country’s Economic Promotin Fund, and other development-related activities. He also coordinated and made necessary arrangements in response to the presentations and requests raised by the local people.

Next, the Union Minister proceeded to Gwe Tauk Yoe Village, where he inspected the road leading from the village to the monastery. He instructed responsible officials to coordinate with the Department of Religious Affairs and arrange for the Department of Rural Roads Development to implement the construction of a road in the coming fiscal year.

The Union Minister continued by inspecting the ongoing construction of a 400-foot concrete village road being implemented under the Village Development Project (VDP) funded by the Department of Rural Development, and instructed that the work be completed on time and in accordance with quality standards.

Subsequently, the Union Minister visited Ma Gyi Kone Village, where he inspected the construction of a 220-foot concrete road section funded under the Department of Rural Development’s 2025–2026 fiscal year Village Development Project (VDP), out of a total village road length of 950 feet, as well as the excavation of roadside drainage channels. In response to local residents’ requests for the remaining sections of the road to be paved, he instructed responsible officials to make arrangements for implementation in the coming fiscal year, it was reported.
