






Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Linn, accompanied by state government members, departmental officials, and community elders, conducted a field inspection of development projects in Sittwe on February 3. The Chief Minister, later attended a briefing on project implementations for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
The Chief Minister and officials first visited the Presiding Sayadaw of the U Ye Kyaw Thu Monastery in Sittwe. During the visit, the Chief Minister discussed plans to restore the monastery and the Great Ordination Hall (Thein Taw Gyi) while preserving their original historic architecture, offered provisions and donations to the Sayadaw and inspected the completed restoration work on the Thakyamuni Ordination Hall and the main monastery building.
Then, the Chief Minister and officials visited Mizan Park and gave instructions regarding cleanliness, beautification, and upgrading the park’s facilities.
Then, the Chief Minister inspected the ongoing construction of the Khawa Thae Creek Bridge and coordinated with officials to ensure the project meets its requirements.
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister attended a meeting at the Rakhine State Government Office. During the session, officials from the Rakhine State Hluttaw Office and the Department of Urban and Housing Development presented their project plans for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
The Chief Minister reviewed the proposals, offered suggestions based on the presentations, and provided necessary guidance to ensure successful implementation, it’s reported.
