








Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Mya Tun Oo inspected railway infrastructure upgrades along the Mandalay–Nay Pyi Taw rail line on Saturday.
At Myit Nge Station, the Union Minister and party reviewed measures to ensure the speedy operation of RBE trains, reconstruction of rail stations, bridge sustainability and construction of new bridges. They then inspected bridge construction works between Belin and Kyaukse stations.
At Kyaukse Station, they examined the designated construction site for a reinforced concrete bridge and the construction of Bridge No. 739 between Kyaukse and MinSu stations. The Union Minister instructed for adherence to standards, timely completion and workplace safety. They later oversaw ongoing station construction works at Thapyay Taung Station.
The Union Minister and party also visited Bridge No. 691, affected by Typhoon Yagi, between Thapyay Taung and Samone stations. They reviewed bored piling works, completion of demolition of old piers damaged by water erosion and progress in building the earth-retaining wall.
