Industrial Development : Visiting the training school and factory

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than visited No.2 Industrial Training School in Mandalay on Saturday. Officials reported on the preparation measures for election and conducting of one-year industrial skill training course.

The Union Minister stressed the need to nurture skilled workers in contributing to the manufacturing sector, while upgrading the teaching system to be industrial ready curriculum. He also stressed the convenient arrangements for the staff to cast votes in the upcoming election.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the Soap Factory (Mandalay) and inspected the progress of renovating damaged infrastructures due to the earthquake. He instructed to follow the Myanmar Building Code 2025 and Standard Operation Procedures for the machines in renovation works, and to strive for resuming production works as soon as possible.
