Industrial Development: Visiting the factories in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than visited the New Stellar Energy MM Co. Ltd factory site in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.

The factory will produce solar panels and related items like inverters and batteries. The Union Minister heard reports on the progress of the factory construction, equipment installation, and production timeline. He emphasized that production must follow national construction standards and complete on time.

He also stressed the importance of producing high-quality solar products that can compete in the local market and reduce imports. He added that the Ministry is working closely with engineering councils and associations to support factory registration and operations.

The factory, which started construction in July 2025, aims to begin production by January 2026. Additionally, the Union Minister visited the factory that will assemble electric vehicles using the SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) system.
