Industrial Development: Visiting cotton and textile factories

Deputy Minister for Industry and MSME Development U Thwin Aung inspected the Cotton Ginning Factory in Taungdwingyi on June 6.

The Deputy Minister instructed to keep machinery ready for operation, ensure a steady supply of raw cotton, carry out regular maintenance, and improve fire safety measures.

At No. 1 Textile Factory in Shwedaung, the Deputy Minister reviewed production, sales, and future plans. He emphasized increasing domestic textile production, maintaining product quality, creating more jobs, reducing textile imports, and supplying affordable school uniform fabric for students.

On June 7, the Deputy Minister met with the factory manager and officials and discussed the development of agro-based textile industries. He also inspected factory operations, spare-parts production, traditional weaving activities, and warehouses.
