India’s Chennai hosts BRICS Science Ministers’ meet

The 14th BRICS Science, Technology and Innovation Ministerial Meeting was held in Chennai under India’s BRICS Chairship for 2026. The meeting was chaired by India’s Minister of State for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation among BRICS member countries in the fields of science and technology.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, minister Jitendra Singh said the participating countries discussed joint efforts in key areas including Artificial Intelligence, quantum technology, cyber security, climate change, and marine and deep-sea research.
