Imposing floats parade through Japan's Aomori City in major summer festival

Giant illuminated floats have paraded through Aomori City in northern Japan as the annual Nebuta summer festival began Sunday. The festival, which attracts around 1 million visitors each year, features large floats depicting historical warriors, mythical figures and other designs, accompanied by drums, flutes and energetic dancers. The festival, with fireworks and a marine float procession, planned for the final day on Friday.
