







The Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, Thursday morning visited No.1 Basic Education High School in Myaungmya Township where citizenship scrutiny cards and UID numbers were being issued to students aged 10 and above who had not yet received their citizenship cards.
Next, the Union Minister observed the activities carried out by township health staff, including blood type testing for the students, verification procedures in accordance with citizenship regulations, and the collection of biographic and biometric data under the e-ID system to issue both a citizenship scrutiny card and a unique UID simultaneously.
He then presented the already-issued citizenship cards and UID numbers to the respective students and provided financial support and refreshments to the township and District office staff. For those who have reached the age of (18) and have not yet obtained a citizenship card due to various reasons, as well as for those whose cards are lost/damaged, arrangements are being made at respective township offices.
Additionally, for students who have reached the age of (10) and have not yet obtained a citizenship card, arrangements are being made by conducting field visits to the respective schools."
