Implementation of model villages: 3 model villages in Shan State (North) implementing

In 2021-2022 Fiscal years, under the supervision of the Department of Urban and Rural Development, the three model village project was implemented in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. Currently, the three model village project in each region and state is being implemented. Three villages where are located in Shan State (North) such as Kyar Kone village in DaNu Self-Administered Zone, Kyaut Tan  village in Pa-O Self-Administered Zone and Baw Nin village in Kalaw township will be implemented with 6 processes.    

Director, Department of Rural Development, Shan State, Maung Maung Win said "Three rural villages in Shan State (North) will be implemented as model villages. The model village implementation will be taken place three villages each in other region and state with 6 sectors. They are infrastructure development, financial services, job creation and generating higher income, social protection works, to strengthen the social institutions and the last one is environmental protection."

The director also highlighted the work process to establish the model villages.

Director, Department of Rural Development, Shan State, Maung Maung Win said "There are about 500 households in Kyaut Tan village, over 300 households in Kyar Kone village and over 100 households in Baw Nin village. The government provides school buildings for education sector and also provides the health centers for the villagers. Our department and related departments intends to use 1 billion kyat of budget allocation for each village."

The aim of the implementation of model villages is to develop rural and urban areas, to get higher living standard and the economic development.
