The Ministry of Immigration and Population is conducting nationwide household censuses and citizenship verification cards issuance through Pan Khin Project Phase-3 to ensure that all eligible voters can hold valid citizenship documents ahead of the upcoming multiparty democratic general election.

Union Minister U Myint Kyaing inspected the ongoing processes carried out by the staff from the Labutta Township Office at Aung Taw Mu Pagoda compound on Friday morning. During the visit, the Union Minister oversaw the One Stop Service, biographic and biometric data collection in line with procedures and the issuance of Unique ID numbers through the e-ID system for those who had already obtained their cards.

He instructed officials to ensure that no eligible citizens of voting age remain without citizenship cards and to prevent errors in the process. The Union Minister and officials later handed over newly issued citizenship verification cards and Unique ID numbers to recipients and ward representatives and greeted local residents.
