Illegal trade: Timbers, foodstuffs, unregistered vehicles seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

The combined inspection teams seized frozen artificial meats, foodstuffs, consumer goods without duty free, mobile accessories, illegal trucks, empty gas cylinders and accessories, construction materials and other utensils, various kinds of foot wear, illegal teaks, illegal vehicels and bikes in Muse, at Myawady OSS trade zone, Thanlwin Bridge (Hpa-an) checkpoint, Kawkareik (Tadarkyo) checkpoint, Phayagyi checkpoint and in Toungoo and Thayawady districts from 14th to 17th of this month. 

There were a total of 28 cases (approximately over 247.3 million kyats) were seized from 14th to 17th July, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
