The effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

The on-duty team made inspections at the Mayanchaung  Permanent Checkpoint on 18th and 20th June and seized an unregistered Honda Fit GD1 car at the 97/0 milepost on Yangon-Myawady Highway and 150 cartons of Yo Good-brand juice that were not declared in the Import Declaration (ID) from a passenger bus heading from Mawlamyine to Yangon.

On 19 June, inspections were carried out at the 16th Mile KyaukChaw checkpoint under the supervision of the Mandalay Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force and captured 250 cartons of Vetrue-brand food at the 16/2 milepost on the Mandalay-PyinOoLwin Road.

A combined team led by the Forest Department under the management of the Bago Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force confiscated illegal timbers in Bago, Toungoo and Pyay Districts.

Therefore, seven arrests (approximately 51.711 million Kyats) were made on three consecutive days from 18 to 20 June, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
