





The action is being taken against illicit trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
On 27 April, combined inspection teams led by the Myanmar Police Force seized illegal rock-pump trucks used in gold mines in Magway Township. On the same day, four iron body boats and a cargo boat were seized and action was taken under the Conservation of Water Resources and Rivers Law.
Similarly, on 28 April, officials on duty at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Checkpoint seized clothes, which were imported over the declared amount in the import declaration and the porcelains, which were contrary to the import declaration were confiscated at the Asia World Port Container Checkpoint.
Then, at the MIPL Port, 27 vehicles, which were not taken out for over a year after the opening of the import declaration, were confiscated. Similarly, the Mayanchaung checkpoint of Mon State also captured illegal imported Lipovitan-D bottles from a truck heading to Mandalay from Myawady and charged under the Customs Law.
On 29 April, the inspection team led by the Bago Region Forest Department seized illegal timbers in the Bago and Toungoo and Thayawady districts. The Police Force seized two unregistered motorbikes, in Chaung-U and Monywa Townships. Therefore, 52 arrests (estimated value of 835.85 million Kyats) were made from 27 to 29 April, according to the committee.
