An action is being taken under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee, against illegal trades across the country.
The Forest Department under the Rakhine State Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force confiscated illegal timbers in Gwa Township on 10 May.
On 11 May, the 16th-mile Kyaukchaw Inspection Station captured aquarium equipment, machinery spare parts, consumer goods, electronics and game machines, which were not declared in the imported declaration, from a truck heading to Mandalay from Muse.
Similarly, on 12 May, Port Customs seized illegal marble tiles which were imported more than the number of the imported declaration at the Asia World Container Terminal Checkpoint.
Moreover, on 13 May, the Forest Department inspection team confiscated illegal timbers in Toungoo District reserved forests. Afterwards, on the same day, the inspection team led by Forest Department captured illegal sawn teak in Indaw Township of Katha District.
Therefore, from 10 May to 13 May, 15 arrests were made an estimated value of 113.54 million Kyats, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
